She's making sure you stay there when she talks to you. Guys tend to glaze over and disappear whenever they hear a woman's voice.

While having a drink at the watering hole just off base and still in uniform, I had a young lady approach me and without saying a word, she reached up and grabbed my hair. She said she was sorry, but she had a $50 bet with her friend that I was wearing a wig because my hair looked too perfect. I told her if she wanted to meet me, all she had to do was to buy me a drink. That would have been cheaper than betting $50 and losing it. She reached out her hand and said "I'm Alicia, but my friends call me Alley." After I found out she was 16 years younger than me, I cut it off. I am amazed at how old or young women can look by altering their makeup and hairstyle.
