Southern Florida has received a ridiculous amount of rain in the past week. Has anyone here been hit by this extreme weather?

Similar situation in Spain, roads turning into
rivers and cars being washed away, very sad,
really, but I am pleased that I live on a hill, in
case we get similar rainfall.

Here in the Calgary region of Alberta are grateful on the other hand, that we're getting some rain finally! Calgary had a water main break nine days ago. It feeds most of Calgary and about 3 municipalities close by, including where I live, so we've had severe water restrictions. Reduce your 'flushes' as much as you can, don't run the water while washing your hands/brushing your teeth, no outside watering, washing cars or windows.....Everyone is trying to catch water while showering, scooping dish water to use on sensitive outdoors shrubs and plants, saving hand washing water and the water off of veggies, etc... All our lawns are reaching brown and crispy. Too much rain is a problem, not enough is a problem.

I am in Central Florida. We got some well needed rain in the area. The temperatures have been unusually high.
I feel for the people south of us.
We lived in Fort Lauderdale a few decades back and certain areas of the city flooded on a regular basis during the wetest months. Unfortunately, nothing much has been done to try to rectify this situation. It is very sad for the residents that live there.

Much needed rain here where I live in Florida and now I see a disturbance in the Atlantic may bring rain this week. My sister-in-law lives in South Florida but she is in an elevated place, so she was spared the flooding.

The Jungle is trying to Reclaim it's natural territory. Fighting to survive, to crack the concrete. Vines and vegetation pulsing once again to be lush.
