Police said a 64-year-old Florida man was arrested after he allegedly climbed into an Amazon delivery van and drove it because it was blocking the road.

Authorities said the driver had stopped on the side of the road while delivering packages in the Merritt Island area.

"An individual by the name of Joseph Baldi... stops and starts yelling at him, telling him to move his truck. The driver says, ‘I'll move it in just a second,” Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said.

The man faces grand theft and kidnapping charges, police added.

Have you ever been tempted to move someone else vehicle ... and what was the reason ?

These two individuals stole quantities of Amazon packages:
Altoona couple accused of stealing $60K in Amazon packages

However, there's more to the story than mentioned in the article.
They took this stuff to a private property in a nearby area, and posted on a regional message board planning to have a yard sale..
The property owner didn't know these individuals, and didn't understand why bunches of stuff was suddenly appearing in her driveway til she saw the ad and exclaimed 'That address is MY house!' 😮😒😮

Altoona couple accused of stealing $60K in Amazon packages

Two Altoona residents are accused of stealing nearly $60,000 in Amazon packages while working as Amazon Flex drivers, Ankeny police said.

Brandon and Madison Kelderman turned themselves in Wednesday morning and are each charged with first-degree theft, a class C felony.
Police said the Keldermans, as Flex drivers, used their personal vehicles to pick up packages from an Ankeny distribution center and then failed to deliver them.

The alleged thefts occurred between Aug. 22 and Sept. 7 after Amazon reported a spike in undelivered parcels.

“We were alerted to this through loss prevention at Amazon. They contacted us and filed a theft report. Essentially, they noticed that several packages had gone missing,” said Sgt. Trevor McGraw, Ankeny Police. “They provided the suspect information.”

Investigators executed a search warrant at the couple’s Altoona home and said they found at least two pallets of undelivered packages from various states.

Occasionally, in my neighborhood, a delivery van will stop in the road, blocking one of the lanes. There's no reason for it, other than the driver is a complete douche. He could easily just pull over to the curb and not cause any disruptions to traffic since there are few vehicles parked on the streets around here, but nooooo... this little POS has to block traffic just to feel a bit of power, which he otherwise lacks in his pathetic little life.

It's kind of like these little douchebags at Chipotle's who only give you a little bit of chicken if they don't like you, but if they do like you, they give you a giant scoop! They're given a little bit of power over other people by having the ability to affect the quality of people's meals.

But back to the a**hole drivers... The next time that happens, I'm going to take a video of him and his van, and find out what company he works for, and try my damnedest to get him in trouble by reporting him.

Frickin' douchebags. They live their lives to try to make other people as miserable as they are.

Some delivery drivers ARE rude and lazy - but this guy's reaction is certainly over the top.
People, in general, just seem so angry these days! 😥
Yep, they absolutely do... everybody seems to be affected from young to old...

Slightly Off topic....
I was a watching a Classical Music quiz show.. which was originally broadcast in1975 on the BBC.. The 3 panelists are all famous people in their own right either actors or presenters with a love for the classical..or musicians themselves.. and the quizmaster is a renowned Pianist...

I hadn't watched it in the 70's.. so when I saw it the other day being repeated on tv I sat down to watch it... and the very first thing that struck me was how really genuinely nice people were.. , how complimentary they were, and how no-one showed even the slightest irritation if they got something wrong...

I was in my 20's when this show first aired.. and I'd forgotten just how nice people were back then.. and how well spoken as well... , and I was so enamoured and delighted with it..I watched it 3 times..

sadly every single one of these people are long gone...all of them died too young..

Fortunately the whole series is being repeated , unfortunately it's only once a week.. but what a Joy.. a complete and utter joy to see genuine, smiley, perfectly mannered people.. I thought we'd lost all of that !

oh it's an absolute joy tbh.. and I feel sad that I've discovered this..not just the lovely panelist who vary each week.. but the presentation of the traditional classical music and in a quiz form as well and with some live renditions of classical pieces .., it's like all my Christmases came at once...

Many years ago, I looked out the window of our office (which was in a very small business park) and saw a UPS truck idling. I thought nothing of it, as I assumed he was walking a package back to a warehouse in the back.

A half hour later, truck is still there. Or is it another truck? I checked again and again over the next few minutes and even looked out back. No driver in sight.

Finally, I went outside and checked the truck. Back door open, side door open, truck is running. Nobody in sight.

At that point, I'm worried and called the UPS distribution center down the road. Another truck was there in minutes with an extra driver. I went out to talk to him and he said that this happened more than you'd think. Driver gets fed up and just walks off. He jumped into the truck and took off. End of story.

Merritt Island is near the Kennedy Space Center.
I wouldn’t move anyone else’s vehicle, unless asked to do so and for a good reason.

That seems a little over the top. I wouldn't have done it, and he shouldn't have done it, but it seems worthy of an award for most outrageous harmless criminal offense. Kidnapping? Really?? I think the maximum sentence would be a good talking to by the judge, and he should cross his heart to not to do it again.

At 64 years old the guy probably has spent his life being a doormat and simply couldn't take it any longer, he finally snapped! Case closed, innocent by temporary inanity.

Where I live many delivery drivers no longer pull into drives, maybe they don't want to have to back out or mayby afraid of causing damage, I don't know but do know they can cause a hazard.

I recently had an Amazon truck stop just before the crest of a hill and jump out of his truck, I beeped at him and gave him the "what the f**k" hand gesture, he motioned for me to go around. No freaking way would any sensible driver go over a hill on the wrong side of the road, so I had to wait him out. He was back quickly but I still had to shout at him that was a stupid move and he was going to get someone killed, he simply ignored me. Idiot.
