Last night, I was watching a detective TV show..."Rebus"...set in Edinburgh, Scotland

and he was offered a Bacon Roll
for breakfast.

Anyone? Care to describe..😉

Any good?🤔

I'll be the first to ask: what is HP sauce???
hpsauce.jpg
HP Sauce is a British brown sauce, the main ingredients of which are tomatoes and tamarind extract. It was named after London's Houses of Parliament. If you're looking for something similar to HP Sauce then you can use A1 sauce a common brand in the United States. It has a similar thick consistency which needs a little coaxing to get out of the bottle.

.. Bacon rolls ( soft white bread roll or a crusty white roll) called Bacon roll in most of the Uk except the North of England where it's called a Bacon Butty.. is a staple breakfast item for workers at Cafes' or take away street carts and vans

... most of us who have bacon rolls at home have them for brunch ..or even lunch.....Most people have Heinz Tomato Ketchup.. HP isn't as popular by a long way..

There;s something addictive about Bacon rolls.. ....it's the only thing I hear people who would like to give up meat.. reminiscing about '' I'd become a vegetarian if it wasn't for bacon rolls''.. is usually the comment

Rebus is a greta detective series based on the Iain Rankin novels.
It ran here in Canada for the whole series about 10years ago.
Wish they would run it again. John Hannah played Detective Rebus in the first series.

Those don't look to hard to make, just looked them up. I will have to give it a go. I love homemade breads and rolls. Having a stand mixer makes it easier than I thought.

easy peasy to make, as simple as can be.. in fact you can just put Bacon on any kind of bread roll... doesn't have to be a special type.. just remember to put butter on first.. not too thick.. ..think of it as like a BLT without the LT>>...oh and the bacon has to be hot
