Foods Not To Buy.... a short video

We buy the Morning Star Grillers Prime veggie burgers, will just keep buying them, don't have them that often. Bagged salads never did appeal to me, glad I always made fresh. I've used the powdered creamers for years now, convenient and don't make the coffee cold like fresh milk or cream....will just have to work off that added fat. :fat:

I buy all those bagged salads and spinach and kale and crinkle cut butternut squash and bagged riced cauliflower...if it's bagged and convenient I buy it because I'm lazy. :)

Bagged salad mixes, spinach, etc have been recalled several times over the past few years. It keeps happening. I love arugula but the only way it's offered is in a bag!

I like the fact that the bagged veggies are "washed 3 times" and are just more convenient. I just bought some halved Brussel sprouts in a bag yesterday.

Ill eat all my bagged veggies but I think I'll start buying things whole and unwashed and just do it myself, it's not like I don't have the time. I'll probably save some money to boot. :)

One of the daughters hosted Thanksgiving at her house a couple of years ago....and she served some of this "bagged salad", Everyone who ate that salad developed a good case of diarrhea within the next day or two....Probably NOT a coincidence. That is something that no longer is on any of our grocery lists.

What a great video! Luckily I don't use any of those even though I didn't know all those dangers. "Cow poop" in imitation vanilla?! Ewww. Isn't that called manure? Don't they make bombs out of that? Yowzers

I've tried to get my husband off creamer for years but he loves coffee mate.
I've gone through so many things to find a healthier creamer. The one that is the most satisfying is unsweetened soy milk. It's creamy, slightly sweet but I've had breast cancer and I'm kind of afraid of soy products.
The next best for me is almond milk with a splash of half and half for the cream factor. I can work with that.
I eat bagged salad when our lettuce garden is out of season.
Someone mentioned arugala. That is pretty easy to grow. Most people eat the baby but we like it mature as it gets spicy.
Yes, good vanilla is worth the price.
