For 'tax day'..saw an interesting quote.

Don't they postpone tax day until the 16th each year? I seem to remember that the 15th was made an official holiday in the District of Columbia which was the reason behind that. Maybe that was a temporary thing. I got mine filed early this year and have already gotten my refund. I hate to overpay but sometimes things happen that way.

I have a fridge magnet that says

"Simplified Tax Return.
1. How much did you make?
2. Send it all in."
Before I retired I sometimes felt like that was exactly the way it happened. I commented once that I was paying more in taxes than my father earned in a year, and I'm quite certain his work was harder than mine.

I pay very little income tax thanks to my Harvard graduated accountant. I have been audited 4 times in the past 10 years. Once, I even was given a refund of $4.
