I applied for the part-time position. The homeless populate in an area called the Jungle by which the cottages serve in providing support for health and independence. My background experience includes substance/alcohol addiction recovery, mental health, Christian counseling, and spiritual aide.

All of which are mentioned in the job description. If hired, I will work with homeless men to establish independence and long-term housing. The problem I foresee is gaining trust among residents to conform to the rules of society as described within the Mission Statement and purpose of Cottage admission.

I have an ill feeling about forcing people to change their way of living based on differences of opinion and acceptability. When is it acceptable to intervene in another person's life? Must they ask for help or is it when circumstance brings us to our knees in complete surrender?

Most of these men have experienced severe hardships in their lives to be eligible for the Cottage temporary housing program. The primary aim is reform, integrating square blocks into a circle society by educating the square blocks by utilizing system resources for observation, tracking and reform.

Some people who prefer living in the Jungle are essentially ghosts with virtually no record of existence. Should this be the case, it is doubtful that a ghost will give up his identity in compliance with reform.

I visit a few homeless encampments here at least once a month. I'd say a good 50% of them want change; sobriety, a job, a home, and family. They'll be grateful for your assistance.
