Ah, if only I lived near one! Used to live near a national forest, admission was $2 about 5-10 years ago. Not a bad deal.
 
Yes,we bought the "old farts" pass last summer when we went to Lassen national Park. Had kids with us so it was way cheaper to buy the pass than to pay for our carfull. Works for anyone traveling in your vehicle with you too!
