For those of you who enjoy science fiction or fantasy and don't mind signing up for a newsletter that sends email about twice a week you can get one or two free books a month from Tor.com. Just visit their website and go to the free books section before June 27th for the current book. If you miss the June 27th date and want free science fiction or fantasy books go to the free book section and sign up to be notified of the next one.
My only association with Tor.com is that I am signed up for the newsletter and the free book club.
I get an email notifying me about the free book and usually have about three or four days to download it.
The books tend to be from newer authors so this is a good way to learn about new authors. The books are often about a year old, so if you stay up to date with science fiction or fantasy you may have already read them.
