Free Tree From Subaru... Just Got Mine

I never knew this, but every spring Subaru works with The Arbor Day Foundation to give out free trees. The program is called "Subaru Loves the Earth." I read about it last week and contacted my local Subaru dealership to see if they're participating. They are, and I just returned from picking up my tree. It's a dogwood, and I'm excited.

Oh, and you don't need to own a Subaru... I have a Ford.

No idea... I didn't even look around the huge lot 'cause I'm a Ford girl through & through. But ya don't even need to have any vehicle at all to get the tree.

Don't rightly know... maybe Nathan drives ol' clunkers that are from the Clunker Junkyard, thus a tree would cost more?

Just a heads up about dogwood. Deer love to eat it in the winter and early spring months!

I'm an anti-tree guy from the city.

My whole life has been spent dealing with trees in my yard.

They're a nightmare.

Probably a fence around it would be best. Chicken wire attached to garden poles for now would work.

In the late '70's they did, kinda, called the BRAT. I forget what those letters stood for. Anyway, the only new car I ever had was a Subaru...but we used to get free trees, I think, from the Arbor Day Society. We lived in Nebraska, so it is a thing in Nebraska, before it was Earth Day it was Arbor Day--which is a Nebraska thing.

I never knew this and I’m an Arbor Day member. I’ve planted untold numbers of trees over the years . Sometimes I sit in my yard and look at the fully mature maples trees I planted 40 years ago and think “that tree is here because of me”. Makes me feel proud and insignificant at the same time.

@CallMeKate That is pretty neat! I did not know about that.
By me, Subaru helps the animal rescues. They organize adoption days for the animals at the local dealership.
BTW, I love their animal commercials!
Just for that I would buy a Subaru!
