Freezing rain.

We've been having freezing rain for the past few hours and according to radar there's quite a bit more headed our way.......if that isn't bad enough later this morning the rain is supposed to turn to snow and we may get 4" to 6 " of snow on top of the ice.

Heavy ice covered power lines mean power outages and tree limbs breaking.....it's gonna be a long day.

I went out and picked up the paper off the driveway a little bit ago and my truck is already totally covered in ice and pretty much looks like this........

Keesha unless something would come up luckily I don't have to get out for the next day or two......with the way the truck is already frozen solid I may have to wait till May or June for the doors to thaw enough for me to open them anyway.

Be sure to wear some ice cleats when you eventually go out to clear it.

I can deal with snow, but I'm soooo looking forward to consistently colder temperatures when we can finally be rid of the ice.

Whenever we have that type of weather here in Buffalo, and I need to go outside,I always wear YakTraks grippers I wear around my boots. I feel more confident wearing them so I won't fall Sue

Some people have remote starters that can start the car and have it warm up.

That would be a real asset when you have an ice storm. That will help free the doors.

I had to drive in a snowstorm last night that was quite wicked.
My husband wanted his parents to see our dogs but he was working last night so I drove down to the city with him in my car. Luckily my car has great snow tires and handles pretty good in the snow but solid ice is another thing altogether.
I agree with Camper. An automatic starter would be good but only if you were planning on going somewhere in it .
Considering the weather you are best off parking your butt where it currently is and staying there.
But YOU already know this and are a smart man.
