Freezing Yogurt?

Anyone had success freezing store-bought yogurt? According to an internet article, it's okay to do so but I'm wondering how well it works and the article didn't say if it should be left in the orig. container or not, etc.

We keep a supply of the small yogurt cups in our chest freezer and rotate through them so that none is ever in the freezer for more than 3-4 weeks. The flavor is still good but the texture can change a bit. We've found that we can minimize this effect by making sure the containers are always stored upright.

I keep yogurt in the freezer. Once out and thawed it has a more grainy look. I take a blender and some chia seeds, blend them together. Does not change the flavor but thickens it up once it is put back in the fridge and let the chia seeds absorb. Chia has lots of health benefits too.
