Friend Is Sick With Cancer

No, thanks for asking. The doctors are sure that she had back to back TIA's or mini strokes. She had an MRI of her brain and also some tests on her heart and a CT scan. They are doing the tests now. The MRI was done earlier.

Maybe things won’t be as bad as you think they are. TIA’s aren’t really as damaging like a stroke is. I hope everything goes well for the both of you.

Everything looks to be ok. The doctor told her that the episode she had last week was most likely a TIA and then she probably had a panic attack brought on by the TIA. We had a good day today. We went to a cookout her girlfriend had. Nice people and friendly conversations. Got home about 3:30 and took a shower. She is going to see her mother this evening just north of Tampa and will be staying there overnight.

We were at the beach yesterday and I must say, she looks really good in her swimsuit. I am a real sucker for blondes and redheads.

We have plans for next weekend. Things are moving along, but I am taking it slow.
 
I'm really sorry to hear that about your friend. That kind of news is never easy. I hope they’re surrounded by love and support and I’m sending strength your way too. Sometimes just being there means Everything
 

I read all the posts and everything sounds as much normal as it could be. Where are you located in Florida? I have a home in Clearwater near the beach. It has really been hot where I am.

I hope your friend is doing fine and the both of you are happy. Please keep us posted.

I am in Pensacola on the Gulf. Beautiful here. I took my preflight training here way back when. We are right next door to Alabama.

I have been to Clearwater Beach. Also a great beach and good fishing in the late fall.
 
I was diagnosed with breast cancer exactly 10 years ago. It was caught very early and I did not need chemo-just a lumpectomy and 33 radiation sessions. No reoccurrence so far.
I do now have stage 4 cancer that started in my liver but it is not related in any way to the breast cancer 10 years ago. I have been receiving immunotherapy for over a year now and you would never know I am ill to look at me. And I feel perfectly healthy most of the time-I get fatigued sometimes but that is due to the therapy-not the cancer.
It is really amazing how they can treat cancer now. Please don`t be afraid to stick by this lady-believe me when I say that she will appreciate it more than you will ever know. And it sounds like your relationship with her grandson is very rewarding for you as well-and I`m sure for him as well!
