Friends IRL?

Reckon what's the likelihood that there are invisipeeps on this board who actually know one another IRL but don't know one another on this thread? About the same odds as winning the lottery?

There's a new poster, @Lily pad , who's from Michigan. She was a native Yooper, like me, but lives below the bridge now. Since the UP is very sparsely populated, it could be that we actually know or are related to the same people.

I often wonder if there is anyone I know reading this.. I find it difficult to think that out of all the people who live within a 5 mile radius of me..there's not one or more who have found this forum...

I also suspect I have a couple of family members who watch my posts here....

That brings up another point - I live in a huge city. Odds are pretty great someone local is on here, but the odds are greater that we've never met.

True ... I know of 3 or 4 people on SF that live near me, but we've never met in person. Not really surprising for large cities.

Unless you are a deer, you don't live near me. But, people about the same age do seem to hang together. Most got housing about the same time, had kids about the same time, got retired about the same time, got on SF about the same time?????

That was a word someone here used to refer to people posting on the forums who can't be seen because the communication is mainly pictures and text. You know — invisible people.

Maybe, although I doubt it. No one I know IRL has ever brought up frequenting any forum or online community other than FB.

I actually know extremely few IRL people, so the odds of me knowing anyone here are probably none - But, I don't care! I slowly get to know and care about people on this forum, and that's very satisfying!
