Frog Ruckus

From early evening to early morning, I can hear a cacophony croaks coming from the remnants of the old Champlain Canal (outlined in red) that's about 300 feet east of my house (yellow circle). It's just a stagnant pond now. I don't envy the homes that are right on the canal.

I wouldn't mind frog songs every evening....depending on what kind of frogs. Croakers, chirpers and bellow-whompers are ok, but not so much the whistlers, whiners and shrill-shriekers.

I live about 500 feet from a frog pond. I enjoy them, even the cranes that come fishing for them.
