Cheating in sports has become a way of life for some individuals and teams. Athletes are willing to risk their health by using steroids and are willing to risk their reputation by using illegal equipment from altered footballs to altered baseball bats. The way I see it is that if a professional athlete gets caught cheating he should be excluded from the Hall of Fame of his/her sport. If an athlete cheated while participating in the sport and it helped him/her achieve greatness, then why allow him/her to enter the Hall of Fame? Maybe they should start a "Hall of Shame."

I am not a sports fan but I wonder how the people who pay huge sums for tickets, especially season tickets, feel about paying good money to see these people cheat? Are they angry? Do they rationalize it? Are they in denial?

Sadly a reflection of society as a whole. I've have yet to work in an industry or company that didn't always have a smarter than the room crowd always trying to game and beat the system. I've been chastised for actually working on a Friday afternoon or up to quitting time. How many times has someone in a workplace said things like "it doesn't matter", "who cares" , " who's going to know" or "I'm not going to do it that way" like they have been asked to swallow leeches. Then there's the "let me show you the TRICK to this" ie a procedure or rule. Also many assume as long as they aren't breaking any criminal laws screwing their employer is ok. Your average workplace has the Training Day crowd always testing the newbies who will bend, break and/or ignore the rules the way they do.

And steroids, pffttt. Many average gym rats are using steroids to become masters of their domain out of sheer vanity/narcissism ignoring side effects and consequences. Unlike the professional athletes that got caught or experienced side effects they think they can game steroid use/abuse without side effects or getting arrested for illegal prescription drugs. I find steroid users to be more arrogant & moody than other drug users. But what's good for their heroes they live life vicariously through they too want that kind of juice. But it is the ends justify mean society. Forget honor and ethics.
