Tonight, I finally watched the last Christmas movie I recorded during the season. I know, I'm really running behind but in my defense it was more than three hours long and I do like to watch movies at a single seating.
This apparently was made as a three-part mini-series but was shown in its entirety. It's a British production. Excellent acting.
It was fabulous! It was "dark" and somewhat depressing at times and it wasn't like any other "Christmas Carol" ever made. This one goes in depth to show why Scrooge was the way he was. It plays with the original story quite a lot (obscenities, violence, and brief nudity) but WOW! what a story it tells. My head is still spinning.
So, I highly recommend you put it on your calendar to look for next year on the FX Channel. Hopefully, they'll show it again or maybe it's on Amazon or one of those services.
