Introducing Jasmine. I just brought her home. She is sitting still at the bottom of the cage. She is not ill or anything; it's just very new for her here and she will need to adjust. At the store she was preening and on a top perch and very healthy looking. She will climb up to another perch when the newness of the new home wears off. I will call her Jassy for short. She seems really sweet so far... :love_heart:

Thanks. She is a real sweetie! I love the fragrance and her, too!

How pretty she is.
She stood out from the rest in beauty.

What a pretty bird!
I know isn't she! She was the prettiest one in the store.

And a fine chirpy welcome to Jasmine!
Thank you! Chirp chirp!

Well, hello Jasmine! Welcome to Senior Forums!
She says tweet tweet tweet tweet tweet...:love_heart:

She's very pretty and will be chirping up a storm in no time. I like parakeets. She looks exactly like the last one I had. He even talked.

I've never had one who looked exactly like her. There are so many variations in colors now a days. They are beautiful, sweet birds!

Hi Jasmine! Welcome to Ruthanne's household. You're a gorgeous angel and I wish you a long, happy life.

I think I have said many of those words to her. Thank you Pat! {{{Pat}}}

So well expressed Pattypan. Jassy is a very lucky girl to have Ruthanne.
Awww...thank you Nancy.:sentimental:

Good for you Ruthanne, I hope that you all have
a great life and that Jazzy settles in, then gets
flying around the house.

Mike.

So happy for you Ruthanne and Jasmine as well. I know she is one lucky bird to have a Mommy like you. I had them years ago and forgot how you can tell the sex of the bird. It has something to do with the coloration of the area surrounding the beak I think, aside from laying eggs of course.

Thanks so much Ruth. I know how to tell the difference between boys and girls, too, the color of the cere. The color, though, is blue with a wee bit of white by the openings so I'm not completely sure if she is a girl yet.
