Gahhh, Am I "Old"?

Tonight me hubby went to a local super supermarket. Miles and miles of everything you can imagine. Usually we go to the smaller version. But here we were around 8:30pm, still the kids to feed. Maybe just joint pain but I couldn't feature finding hubby in this football field.

I went to the nice young security person who directed me to the motorized carts and even put my basket in the front. I don't feel I've gone that far. I'm only 54 and my Dad at 94 can run circles around me. How did this happen? I can walk industrial sized dogs without a hitch. Am I falling apart???

It sounds like all the stress you have been dealing with recently is really wearing you out. That can make you feel old (ask me how I know! ;) ). I am really sorry you are going through this (well, actually I'm glad you are still GOING THROUGH it and not stuck in it, because hopefully it will pass). It seems like you've just plain got more than you feel you can deal with.

I am older than you are, and I just remembered my cousin's words to me a year or so ago -- all he knows to do is just keep on keeping on. He has been through a lot too, as have I.

I am sorry you are having a rough time.

I agree with Guitarist. I think you're just emotionally worn down to a nub, Fur. It can make you tired and unable to function, believe me.

You have been too worried for too long a period of time & it is beginning to show up in your health. Bubble baths & meditation Fur. Make yourself stop thinking. Stress can kill. It did a job on my health for sure. Take care of you.

A good martini will straighten you out, and you are so young that you could easily handle more than one...

I suffer from depression .. believe me, you don't want to end up there, fur.
Take good care of yourself.
((hugs))

It has been my experience that sometimes starting or discontinuing some medications can make you feel this way also.
