Gardening in the rain. A nice experience.

Recently I've been battling a sinus infection. It's coming along but I'm on an antibiotic which makes me very sensitive to the sun.
Having my garden just sitting there was driving me crazy.
Yesterday was a dreary, misty, rainy day. I decided to do my gardening. The weeds came out so easily because the ground was wet. My new plants didn't even know they were moved.
It was quiet,no yelling kids, boom boxes or lawnmowers making a racket. No sun to give me heat stroke.
There was a slight breeze so it kept the bugs away. It turned out to be a perfect day. I certainly will do it again.
When I was done my tools had to be hosed off as well as my feet and legs. The bathtub needed just as much a cleaning as I did but it was a good day. Rather soothing working out in the rain.

Yes, I can remember having done gardening that way, years ago, on some Spring rainy days, and it worked great for the tasks and for the moved plants, in all the ways that you explained,
and it was enjoyable too.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and accomplished a lot, Ruth, and I hope you will be feeling better and off the med soon.
……..Just in case you want to do something you'd enjoy better on a sunny day than a rainy one. :ROFLMAO:
Such as, to sit in a chair, read a book or magazine, and absorb the warmth, and admire your healthy plants. :)

They refer to gardeners as yourself, Ruth, as hard-core! :)

As a fellow gardener, you make me proud! ☔
