Gardens and Bees This Year

Talking with a gardener, he mentioned that are fewer bees this year. His vegetable garden has done poorly. We need those bees.

Our gardens and fruit trees have also been demolished by a severe cold snap in the winter. Many trees were removed, vineyards ripped out. This was followed by an extremely hot and dry summer. Maybe this took a toll on the bees too. We need those pollinators.

Some produce that would normally be abundant in local farmers’ stand is almost non-existent.
