Now listen here Ozarkgal...... those gums trees are the finest in the world.
They're evergreen, they smell great, provide home for Koalas, shade for people and at the end of their life, they make mighty fine firewood. :p :p :p :D

cheers :)

You folks are talking about different trees. It's the sweet gum trees that are a problem around here. We don't have eucalyptus trees in Arkansas.
We'll be happy to send you some.

Nice offer rkunsaw but no thanks ! :):):) I'll stick with the devil I know.

Lots of different trees in my neck o the woods.... just up the road from my house, there' lots of super tall Pines.
In summer, the air smells so fresh... must be something they give off. I don't know for sure which species of Pine... maybe White Pine or Ponderosa Pine ?

The pic shows the trees in my street... my house is "somewhere" in the red circled area. You can see the tall pines all along the top of the shot... they dwarf everything else.

You're a very funny mob.

Not Cap'n Cook. It was Captain Bligh of the Bounty fame who used to plant trees and release goats when his crew went ashore to get fresh water. And the trees were always fruit trees. He was thinking to save ship wrecked sailors of the future. He nearly needed them himself.

Seems all those wild and wacky explorers were running around messing with other peoples worlds... Discovery is great but . . . sheesh!
