Having watched 5 back to back old episodes of The West Wing I do now have a degree of admiration for any US President, it must be like walking a minefield trying to please the electorate and do the right thing at the same time.Obviously, that's fiction not real life, but there is still a certain amount of truth there.I feel the same about the Prime Minister here as well, but especially for the President as Americans [a lot anyway] seem to expect almost God-like utterings and action.We don't view our leaders in the same way [no reverence here.]

The West Wing was as close to political reality as you can get in my never humble estimation. A great show!
