Gentle posts for gentle folks

It's what most people would call a nice day???
That made me laugh but I know what you mean. 😊

For you though, at least it's not pouring buckets of rain, while you're trying to go for dog walks. Right?πŸ˜€

Dh and I were both feeling strong enough to go outdoors this morning, for some small enjoyment ,
rather than for one of our various and sundry medical needs!
So that is a happy day!
LOL Yes, so true about the dog walks. I really love stormy days, but it can be a bit tricksy with the doggie.

Better than stormy days are really windy days! πŸƒ Those are fun to be out in. :)

So glad you and husband got out for a bit just to enjoy the day! That's awesome. πŸ€— I agree: Happy Day! :giggle:

Good Morning Kaila and Gang! Today is going to be a scorcher, but, that won't stop us from taking a drive out in the country. We usually do a bit of grocery shopping in small towns, and fill up with cheaper gas.

Whatever you are doing, have a good day!

It's interesting to learn that it's very hot even farther North where you are and at the beginning of June. 😎

I'm glad that you are able nonetheless, to enjoy a drive to look for interesting wildlife and other sightings on an excursion.

Dealing with hot and humid weather here, but it is normal. When I hear them throw out 100 degrees on the horizon now, I stay in the A/C.
It is something new for me, as until January my dog walking schedule always came first .. forget the weather. Some days were pretty brutal.

How about turning on a water sprinkler outdoors and running around under it, both you and doggie. If doggie can keep up with you that is.

I figured you wanted a useful suggestion like this one.

Do you have to carry water for your dog? I have to do that during the hot season; a bottle with a hole drilled in the top to pour for drinking and pour on him to cool off.

I carried a water bottle for Bear, but he rarely wanted to stop … he drank water before going outside...
(he died at Christmas time - he had just turned 15 yrs.)

They make many cooling options …shirts, jackets, vests. And they work great in very hot weather.

This is what Bear wore mostly: …. Soaked it in water, rung it out, put it on him, and it kept him cool… no panting.

I'm so sorry for your loss. ❀️ That is so hard.

Thank you for the link; I'll check it out. :)

@Rossana how is dear little Elsa doing?
Thank you for thinking about her, RadishRose.
We saw the new vet last week. She examined her thoroughly and took some samples of her skin to analyze. She decided to give her antibiotics for 10 days as well as a shot. She still licks herself but not as much. Her belly still has some red spots. We are due to see her next week to determine a possible healing plan. We were very pleased with her, her staff, and her services. Elsa hates the car rides. I held her in a towel on my lap while she was looking out the window (for 2 minutes) before she wanted to hide back in her carrier and make a lot of noise!
She felt comfortable at the vet which made me feel good.
Thank you for caring!❀️

Good Morning, Kaila & Friends πŸ€—

Yesterday was a good day. We did our grocery shopping in a small town, and got cheap gas .. always a thrill!
Staying in today to do chores (laundry, dusting, catching up on emails, etc.)

@Kaila .. Toronto summers can be brutal, with high humidity - very different from Vancouver, where I grew up. Thank heaven for air conditioning!

Good morning, all. Not the nicest of days here, Rocco not keen on wet weather so we've just had a couple of short walks around the streets instead of going to the park... both of us glad to get back in the house. ;)

He's fast asleep now so while he's quiet, I've been browsing through the Aldi special buys. I'd just mentioned to my son yesterday that I needed to get some masonry paint for the window sill and above the door... was pleased so see that Aldi will have some in a couple of days. I also spotted some dog toys so no doubt I'll be treating Rocco... as if he hasn't got enough. πŸ™„ I get my main shopping delivered but Aldi is only a five minute walk away and very convenient if I've forgotten anything plus I do like to see what special buys there are.

Have a good day, everyone.
