Get that colonoscopy!!!

Mayo Clinic 2018 article in the New England Journal says there is a Non-invasive Colon Cancer Screening Test via DNA that is tested from a fecal sample sent through the mail that is 92% accurate. Check it out by clicking on this link:

Thank you but for other physical reasons I can't do that either. It would be good for some, though, yes! :)

My husbad had to drink a bottle of that (lemon flavor) the night before he began his prep, due to issues with constipation. It cleaned him right out, and he said he hardly cleared anything more after drinking his Miralax cocktail . If he still has constipation issues after the surgery, he is going to ask the doc if it is OK for him to use the Magnesium citrate.

From the time I was a little girl I always struggled with constipation. I took everything and tried everything. I even tried yogurt...YUCK...I hate the stuff and it didn't work. I was miserable. Then about 4 years ago I read somewhere about flaxseed. So I got a bag of ground flaxseed and started putting a tablespoon on my cereal in the morning. Bingo!! I quit taking a probiotic and only use the flaxseed. It's also very good for you. Google it :)

I'm 71 and have never had a colonoscopy....and never will! Sorry, but that's an "exit only". I have my doctor order those colon screenings you do at home and send in.

I also have a history of constipation and then when I've had to take strong oxy for surgery, yikes talk about constipation. My mother had issues too. But what I've found to really really work for me is increased magnesium and a few months ago started taking ox bile. My BM's are just about great....and of course drinking more spring water thru the day.
I've had bleeding hems over the years but no more.

I'm close to 80 and no colonscopies for this gal.

There are transportation companies and even taxis that will do that for you. Ask the clinic or hospital where you would get that done. They can refer you.

My hospital in Houston will not allow any service of any kind other than a relative or friend to drive me home. Make sense? Nope.

I believe it's because the driver has to sign a "taking responsibility for patient" form and none of the commercial services will do that.

Probably... Last colonoscopy, I told them I had a taxi. Didn't work...<g>... Had to get a taxi, they watched me get in, gave the driver a ten spot to drive me out of their sight, and WALKED home. Less than 5 miles.
