Getting paid to get COVID shot

Maybe I'm just being a little testy here, but it really annoys me that people are now being paid to get the COVID vaccination. In my state you can now just walk in about anywhere and get the shot, no big deal. I waited and waited to get an appointment and then stood in line to get the shot. I felt lucky to get it when I did. I didn't expect to get paid to protect myself (and others). Now people are getting paid? That's just so irritating. What about the rest of us who already got the vaccination?

The pay should be retroactive.
Recently, in my area they're offering sweepstakes entries for baseball & basketball games.
There has never been such bribery for doing something that (supposedly) benefits themselves. Something smart people should think about.
