My brother died a few years ago and look at the beautiful pillow my NIL (he was her father-in-law) made for me using one of his beloved Pendleton flannel shirts:



She used an 18 inch pillow form; I think this is such a great way to memorialize somebody, she's such a sweetie.

What a great idea! I've seen quilts made of t-shirts, but not a pillow made of a flannel shirt. How comforting.

People often talk about the grief that comes with the death of parents, spouse or child but not as much about the loss of a siblings. They are often our first friends, sometimes our advocates, our competition, on occasion our adversaries. But they can be as important as parents in shaping who we become.
