Gift Suggestions for a Multiple Family Birthday Party

Geez, it's almost impossible to select gifts for such a varied group. You pretty much have to know the individuals involved to select a gift for each of them. I'd stick with gift cards -- they are usually much appreciated and are much better than something they won't enjoy or use.
You didn’t state how much you wanted to spend, which makes a big difference for those those posting suggestions.
What about pamper packages. You can purchase some very nice baskets at the dollar store as well as some Sally Hansen nail polish, along with a nice nail manicure kit. Throw in a nice scented candle and some type of decadent chocolate ( well wrapped) maybe a comb and buff puff. Place them in a basket with some of that coloured tissue paper. Wrap the entire thing in that coloured clear wrap and add a gorgeous ribbon.
Get creative.
I have made some sea salt bath scrubs for the body and sugar scrubs for the face as well as made my own scented oils that I’ve put together for the women ( on my husbands side ) of the family. It was a fun and enjoyable thing to do as a surprise gift which they appreciated.
You should be able to make these baskets for less than $20 each. Most women appreciate a nice pamper package and if they don’t , they can pass it on to someone who will.

For a big family birthday celebration, I would try a grab bag generic gift pool where everyone buys one present under a certain dollar amount and then pass them out or play a game to win the presents.
IMO the most inexpensive items can be the most fun ask the group to stick with one item from the dollar store.
The important thing is to have fun and enjoy the company.
