Give us a tour of your garden (since we're all stuck at home)

CinnamonSugar

A Quiet American
I'm not a big gardener but I do enjoy being out in my garden, looking at what's blooming and enjoying the shade of the stately tulip poplar trees in the front yard or the huge pecan tree in the back. Hollies line the west wall of my house by the chimney; a white camellia just finished blooming in the front yard between the bedroom windows. My dear friend Ed helped me plant day lilies a couple years ago and it's always an adventure to see what will come up next! -- Crimson, yellow, peach colored blossoms waving in the breeze. Tucked among the lower bushes, you'll find miniature Beatrix Potter characters; my grand girls love looking in the yard for Peter Rabbit, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle and Tom Kitten =)

The backyard has 8 or 9 blueberry bushes that put out quart after quart of luscious, sweet berries in June. Nothing better than sitting in the shade, reading a good book or having tea and scones with a good friend

Very nice CinnamonSugar. Going to have to wait awhile with photos of my yard everything is dormant except for a couple of Daffodils that are just starting to grow. I did notice that a couple of tiny lavender plants made it through the winter. I started them from seed last year. We had a very mild winter which probably helped..

Oh I love lavender! Can't grow it where I live

Some beautiful gardens! I'm not much of a flower grower, but do love them.

The saucer magnolia and white irises behind it just played out.

Lettuce around one of the herb beds since the deer won't mess with it near rosemary. Basil and marjoram will go in after the lettuce is harvested. Can't see the thyme in the pic.

But of everything, I'm happiest about my baby potato plants. The last one was up this morning. The big vegetable garden with the deer fence is still too wet to plant ...and more rain expected the next four days.

Oh, how I love rosemary and basil!
Small potatoes cooked and fried with onions and rosemary is one of my fav foods!
I planted rosemary in my small garden about 15 years ago and now it running wild. I probably have enough of it for the entire county. I put some oregano in a large pot many years ago, and it just keeps on growing with minimal attention. Basil always takes a lot more effort and attention, but the return on investment is always worth it.
