GM may export China-made Buick to U.S.

I want to see how the consumer reacts. Probably the same when the imports started rolling in from Mexico and China in the 90s-nothing. I thought Buick was supposed to be high end GM.

I would buy imports from Japan because they've been in the auto business for decade but China?

Would not the Buick folks of GM be telling China what to build and how to do it? I doubt that these would be Chinese designed and built imitation Buicks.

I don't know if I want a car made by someone who is used to soldering computer chips assembling my car's steering or braking systems. Car manufacturing for the Chinese is still in the shakedown cruise phase.

I've owned a couple of Buicks in the past...they were good cars. However, I doubt that I would ever be interested in buying a car made/assembled in China.
