That's for sure...yesterday was fairly nice....until late evening. Then, one of the hardest rainfalls I've seen hit for about 1/2 hour, and we got over 2" of rain in just a few minutes. I had been watching the Royals on TV, and the fans had to get out their rainsuits or run to the covered deck during the 8 and 9 innings. A few weeks ago, I was reading the latest copy of the Old Farmers Almanac, and they are predicting a long bitter Winter for the Midwest with way above normal snowfalls. Unfortunately that Almanac is usually right. In Missouri we say if you don't like the weather, wait a minute, an hour, a day, a week or a month. Nothing stays the same here for very long.
Didn't he also say, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Fransisco"?There's always worse, always better. We just get what we get.
Mark Twain (fellow Missourian) once said “Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it."
Bingo!Didn't he also say, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Fransisco"?
