It was, but no more so than some years ago when the American team sported a Canadian flag on the floor of their dressing room. Huge animosity between these two teams. You may be right, Jane.I think it's that much sweeter because it was the women's team who did it. No idea why there's such a hostile rivalry, but I bet if we could look back it was driven by media or politicians. In other words, spectators.
If any of you know anything about hockey you know that a shoot out is really not a way to finish a hockey game.
The score is tied at the end of three periods. You play till someone scores. Shootouts are for the birds. I don't even consider that a loss.
It's a tie.
