Hope it works for you @RuralKanuck . You can "watch", "unwatch" threads/posts and delete them from the "Watched" list.
I was afraid I didn't 'splain it very well.

There is a lot to keep up with and learning little tips from all the good folks on the forum helps. They are always here to help.
 
Thanks DB, thanks for your private message I still have not found the link to send a NEW PM to a new person. I do have all most cookies turnd off with my slow connection!
Meanwhile I am finding this forum a VERY busy one with new stuff not tagged scrolling way down past the of the page in just minutes, I see the link to tag forums you wish to watch which seems to be most of them (even if not respond) but is there a simple way to tag just one or two to NOT view when entering via 'whats new' ? Lazy old bugger eh!

New pm's to anyone.... Hover over anyone's Avatar name. Then click on "Start Conversation".

It is not easy to NOT view stuff with all available here. :) If you want, you can bookmark your favorite thread or forum, and use that link to come onto the forum. Read that and then hunt for others through your "Watched List" or whatever.
Just an idea.

Interesting.... no 'Start Conversation' here, when I click on the avatar I get this ...

@RuralKanuck , I don't understand that as it comes up in any name (unless they block private conversation). In hover at any post avatar name or clicking names to the profile page (as your image shows) it should be there. W7 is no hold-back on this.
Did you try with another persons name to see what is there?

Lol on the Comidore. I remember early days of Radio Shack's too.

That may well be true and quite reasonable, you can always ask an older member (in membership not years eh) to pm you in the public record..
