Going to my first Pride parade and picnic on Friday

Going with my niece and her partner. It is in Batavia, NY, where I grew up. It is the first year they are sponsoring an event there. It will be fun. I cannot wait. I will try to take some pictures to share here.
The parade route is about a mile, and my niece, knowing of my mobility limits, has offered to get me a wheelchair so if I cannot walk the whole thing, I can ride. So nice of her.
 


Well, I have been encouraged to get out more, since losing Rick. So doing it up well.

You’ll have lots of fun Marie. My gay friends used to invite me to gay pride in Toronto and if it weren’t for my social phobia of crowds, I would be happy to have gone with them. They always come back with lots of photos and interesting stories.
