Not everyone has the time or resources to do something like the man above. But doing just small things can brighten a persons day. A few years ago my mom was in a nursing home rehabbing a broken hip. The nursing home allowed families to bring their pets for visits. I took my black lab a few times and took him to visit other patients while I was there. It really felt good putting smiles on the patients there, especially the ones who rarely had anyone visit them.
