Good price for Cataract surgery?

I need surgery on my right eye and I have to pay up front 1700 dollars before my eye doctor will do the surgery. I will have to meet my 2100 dollars deductible before my insurance pays anything.

Oh dear, I assumed Medicare would cover cataract surgery. Deductibles are no fun at all.
