I think they're looking at the fraud in giving benefits to SOME....I say, SOME....who don't need it. Before anyone goes ballistic....I said SOME. NOT ALL. I want that understood right here, right now, okay?
I work at Walmart. I was on a register, giving a cashier a break. A lady came through, buying filet mignon, lobster tails, expensive steaks and a 60" TV and Blue-Ray player.
I said, "Wow! This looks good! (Meaning food) Then I said, "Nice TV! Those are great. You'll love it."
She smiled and said, "Yes, we bought a lake house and having a celebration."
I said, "ooooohh, I'll be right over!"
We both laughed, then she paid for the food with her food stamps card, then peeled off 6 hundred-dollar-bills to pay for the TV and dvd player.
I said, "Isn't going to be rough to deal with two houses?" (I'm not a dummy.)
She replied, smiling, "Oh it is! I wouldn't know what to do without a cleaning service!"
You can't make this up. It happens. I hope they crack down on fraud and clean this whole mess up.
