Gordon Lightfoot dead at 84...

Lightfoot was an avid sailor. When I was young, he always had his crew sail 40 foot sailboat, "Sundown", to a marina in Sarnia. Ontario in time for the annual Port Huron to Mackinaw sailboat race. As I understand it, if his schedule allowed, he sometimes showed up in person for the race.
 

One of my favorite songs was The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald'
If you didn't know anything about the ship, after listening to his lyrics you would of learned the story of what happen to the ship& its crew
