Got me a new walker..LOVE it

I have had a lot of balance issues over the years, took several falls. Decided to graduate from cane to walker. Has a seat and everything. It is one of those sturdyer, extra wide ones, for heavier people.

When I went to check out, I presented my prescription from the doctor, and my insurance card. Associate told me that my insurance would not cover the wider walker for me. I asked why/ She said they only pay for the extra wide ones for people over 400 pounds. WTH

That's wonderful Marie! I was talking to a blind friend yesterday and she told me someone gave her a walker that must be similar to yours. She's a bit heavy and said she can sit in it comfortably. She is so happy with it. Continue to enjoy yours as well.

Try ginger in any of its forms, it is good for balance, I have
used it in the past, I try old remedies before drugs.

Had to pay the whole thing. about $225. Less than I thought, so I had enough money set aside for the purchase.

BTW...my friend is heavier than you. You don't look like you're "heavy" at all in the picture Marie.

I volunteer at a Hospice repairing their wheelchairs and walkers, and those are the best walkers. Those aluminum frame ones are a joke. In fact, we tossed a bunch of them as scrap.

I think you’ll be happy that it’s got the bigger wheels too. Better for getting over obstacles.

Thanks. I have lost some weight...especially since living here. Walking more, I am not shy to say I weigh in at about 245.
