Got My First On Line Groceries Today @Pickup

We just subscribed to online group delivery with our daughter. Tomorrow, we get our first delivery. They tell you online, if they don't have what you ordered. We'll be putting in regular early orders, as they are over-stretched, as you can imagine.

I am doing it with two grocers. One at least offers an option button to allow them to substitute but I won't takes a chance on that. I order met and pasta from specialty stores. Yesterday while waiting outside I noticed way too many people in the store and a lot of them were seniors. I wonder why so many are just brushing this off as a quirk.

You were very lucky, here they have closed down
registrations for new customers home deliveries or
"Click & Collect".

Mike.

My daughter just delivered our groceries to us that she ordered through InstaCart. There were no substitutes, and we got everything on our list - including bathroom tissue :)

They allowed additions to the list right up until yesterday afternoon. I'm impressed!

She and her husband have been getting their groceries delivered for a few months now, before the COVID thingy.

I think they had a one-time delivery charge on a special plan, if I'm not mistaken.

@Pinky

I am sold, from your description.
How far from your area would they deliver?
:ROFLMAO:

Either the store or your daughter?
;)

I don't mind giving her a delivery charge. :)

Insta Cart in Toronto is not on strike, so far. We have other delivery options if they do. If necessary, we could order and go pick up.

I think this takes place on March 30. Other companies will be happy to fill the void and get a bigger market share.
We know of a couple of other companies who will deliver. If the strike takes place, it will more than likely take longer than a week for orders to be filled by someone else. According to my daughter, Insta Cart is taking order to deliver this coming Friday .. so, I guess we just wait and see what happens.

Just checked, and Insta Cart in Canada is not going on strike tomorrow.
