I listened to his announcement of his intention to run for President. I think he is #16 in the race.. And because Trump is sucking all the oxygen out of the room with his lounge act, very little press was given to this man. I think you all know that I am a staunch Democrat.. (no kidding) but I have to say that I was impressed with the things Kasich was saying. If people would pay attention, I believe they would be too. Unfortunately, he probably will not even make it to the debates... as dictated by FOX news. That's a shame.. I think Kasich has a lot of good things to offer to the debate.. give him a listen.

Our media...especially TV...is concerned about only 1 Thing....raising their Neilsen Ratings, so as to increase their profits from their endless commercials. As such, The Trump Circus is a Golden Goose to them, and they will play up his ever comment so as to keep the voters distracted, and push any Intelligent Candidates into the background. Our media is all under the control of the 1%'er's, and Trump is working hard to insure that his wealthy associates interests are given the highest priorities.

Trump does have 1 Thing going for him....in that, in this day and age when most politicians speak out of both sides of their mouths, he is not afraid to speak his mind...and is a welcome change from the Politically Correct BS that most candidates engage in. It's still a long way off to the elections, and hopefully, as this campaign progresses, some degree of intelligence will prevail, and the voters will be given a choice of worthy candidates. At this point, this appears to be wishful thinking.

I don't find Trumps insulting name calling of everyone else in the race as a welcome change... it is a step into the gutter, or a mud wrestling wring.. Lot's of fun for those with that mentality. Hardly the way a country should be run.

I agree, QS. I saw Gov Kasick being interviewed on Fox News, and was very impressed with what he had to say. He not only talks the talk, but walks the walk. As Governor he has many accomplishments, including starting with a deficit, and changing it to a surplus, I didn't know much about him before seeing the interview.

I will not vote for a Republican in this election. I have in the past many times (in fact I was a registered Republican), but now with both houses in control of the GOP and the tea party and extremists determined to drive the wedge ever further between young and old, rich and poor, Democrats need the protection of the Presidency and it's veto power.

Of course I would never vote for him... because of the extreme anti-union stance and austerity.. What I was saying is that as far as Republican candidates go, he is a viable one.. and has some good points. BUT because of Trump, Kasich will not even make it to the debate stage.. and that's a shame. He would be a serious candidate.

I listened to Kasich and was not enthused. I haven't been able to get excited or enthused by ANY of the announced candidates of either party so far.

I'm sure You don't find any merit in anything Trump says or does....but there are a lot of people who probably Do find his "openness" a welcome change from the pussyfooting that most politicians engage in. Personally, I think he can supply Saturday Night Live and Jon Stewart with material that can keep their shows going for several episodes. Perhaps if he keeps flapping his jaws, it will get some people more interested in this nations politics...instead of just vegetating in front of their TV...watching dumb reality shows.

Stop watching the Argentine Tango? Nah.
