Great Gladiolus this year.

My garden is growing reasonably well this year despite the heat and humidity. My Gladiolus are doing really well. Every few days I am able to pick several more. I have them protected in the veggie garden just for cutting. I planted several colors but it seem the pink ones are most abundant. A couple of salmon ones have started. They come back each year but less and less of a selection in color. They must be the most hardy.
I can't complain I will enjoy the color Mother Nature has given me.

You are blessed! Years ago I staggered the planting of my bulbs to ensure a long blooming period. You can guess the rest- the last ones planted came up first.

They look beautiful Ruth. I like gladiolus. When I was younger I used to buy them for my apartment. Later I used to buy them for my rabbit to eat cause he loved them. This year I forgot to plant my bulbs. There are a couple that are near our driveway that come up every year. Those bulbs must be well protected.

As long as the greens get enough sun to put food back into the bulb it will grow again.

My neighbour across the way has Gladioli growing over 6 feet this year..it's a really colourful display
