Green Tea Fights Cancer

A report by the researchers at the University of Kansas
found that Antioxidants in green tea were the strongest known disease-fighting substance.

Research reported in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute confirms that a powerful
antioxidant ingredient in green tea kills human cancer cells.

These findings add to the previous studies showing that the tea ingredients
prevented tumors in animal tissue.

A cup of green tea contains between 100 & 200 milligrams of the anti-tumor ingredient.

Green tea accounts for about 20% of global tea consumption, with black tea
making up the rest.

Enjoy a cup!

What a coincidence....there was a special offer on green tea so I bought some to try. I don't normally drink tea but I had read it was good for you so thought I'd give it a go.

If it's the antioxidants that provide the benefit, a cup of coffee has 200-550 milligrams. I realize some people don't drink coffee, so Green Tea & brightly-colored vegetables are great sources.
3/4 ounce of 70% dark chocolate has 400 milligrams of antioxidants. That's Dark Chocolate; not Milk Chocolate.

I have coffee & a little dark chocolate every day. I'll never oxidize.

Good for U!👍

I've been drinking decaffeinated green tea for a few years, usually with breakfast and sometimes twice a day. I remember Dr. Oz answered a question I had in my mind and that was is the caffeine free version as beneficial as with caffeine and the answer was yes. I truly believe the green tea has staved off arthritis symptoms, which I posted about in another thread. If it truly does fight cancer, that's great news because cancer is one of the ailments I fear getting.

Good 👍 4 U!

Can anyone here recommend a FLAVORFUL green tea? Not a "flavored tea", but natural green tea with a pleasant flavor. The green teas that I've purchased have all been pretty much flavorless. If so, where do you buy it?

On several occasions in the past I've had what, to me, were good green teas but most were in restaurants. A Taiwanese friend brought me a box of excellent green tea as a gift ... but I couldn't read the label. :ROFLMAO:

Thanks for sharing this. I had heard about the anti-cancer properties of green tea for years, but never took the time to find the professional scientific studies that back the results.

I do know that a wide range of natural therapies have now been confirmed by professional scientific studies...and recognized by the US NIH.

The vitamin company "Life Extension" has a magazine. Those articles are often footnoted with references to professional scientific studies. I am pretty sure the archives of the older issues are all free....

A little hesitant, because the website also does sales...but folks can access this webpage and just read the articles...
