Grocery bill this week was $101.27

Our grocery bill is almost $200 weekly. That's with no eggs or beef. We get those from my sons farm. Our youngest (23 yo) son still lives us also.
I started shopping weekly and that has brought my grocery bill down because I don't need as much. If I wait the 2 wks it's at least $200 or more.

When I read the amounts people are paying for groceries, I wonder WTH are people buying! My weekly grocery bill averages $45, and I buy in bulk. But then again, I don't eat red meat or pork (of course). Although I eat poultry and fish, I don't eat either of them on a daily basis.

I only buy meat occasionally. Most of it is things like medications (ibuprofen, allergy medicines, socks, underwear, omeprazole, zyrtec, refresh lubricant eye drops, (mostly meds and generally the generics). My last bill was 16 items for $178. The cheapest item was $3.14. Only 2 food items.

That's the key for you - no red meat, fish, or poultry. If I posted how much I spend in a month, you guys would think I have a screw loose. I don't eat red meat, but I enjoy seafood and organic chicken. Yes, I need a grocery shopping anonymous support group. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

In Virginia they had a Walmart Supercenter about 6 miles across town but right
near my house was a Walmart Neighborhood Market that only sold grocery and
home supplies. I loved that Market as it didn't have you walking around through
all the other stuff buying random stuff. They closed it down after I was there 2 years.
I think it effected the sales off the other store. Good while it lasted. I spent less
there than at the other store because I didn't impulse shop.

I never heard of a Walmart Neighborhood market! I wonder how many of them were in existence. We are relatively close to 3 Walmarts, 2 of which are superstores.

I think they phased them all out to much competition with themselves
