There is a growing frustration in Japan with Olympic athletes for the games not being cancelled yet. Most of the public in Japan wants them cancelled. They think too much is being spent on games and athletes and not enough on Japan itself.

IMO they should cancel them if that is what the people want.

They spent a lot of money on building venues for the events, so I guess they figure that they can recoup some of it if the Olympics go on.
