Bob Dylan was very passionate about it. Rubin Carter was helped by Canadian people who believed in him. I just learned he had died.

Hard to say if he was guilty or not; only Mr. Carter would know for sure. But there are racist & corrupt police officers in every department; we would have to be blind, deaf & stupid not to know that. And we wouldn't have to listen to Officer Mark Furhman's tape to know it....it's the main reason O.J. was acquitted of two murders.

I have that song on one of my Dylan CD's. I was surprised that he used everyone's real name in the song. I read about how police officers & judges were really angry about it.

We didn't know him, but I believe he was innocent

I just remember him as "The Hurricane" . Good fighter in his time. I never followed him later in life although I was aware of his problems. Sad.
