It seems that the public is afraid that some sort of ban may be coming and want to make sure that they got all they need before this possibility materializes...
 

Seems like more are buying guns than signing the pledge...
 

I support the 2nd amendment, but having a gun in the home does not necessarily mean you are safer.
How many home owners actually have used a gun in an assault while they were at home? Not many. (less than 1%)

In a study of over 14,000 cases of intrusion by an offender, the gun owner "maced the offender, yelled at the offender,struggled, ran away, or called the police", but did not resort to the weapon. .
