Gun Smuggling

Whenever we invent something, a new problem arises. There is a law in physics that says, "For every action, there is a reaction." The invention of the internet has led to fake news, perverts cruising for young victims, the Nigerian Money Laundering Scandals, rip-off con artists on dating sites, etc. Now, hear this! Do you have a nice gun and those "miserable" Canadian custom officials to let keep refusing to bring it in? There is now a new, nearly fool proof way of getting precious handguns right pass those border folks. Yes, you read that right! Who said crime is down?

Now, thanks to ever changing technology, you can now buy yourself a drone and just fly it across. Make technology work for you! Sounds like a potential for a new business. For more information, just read the following:

"Gun trafficking carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years. And the federal Liberals are planning to raise penalties for gun smuggling and boost funding for police agencies to intercept the illegal flow of guns."

That's good. Good for Canadians. I wish they'd spend more on this at the USA's southern borders.

What's the saying 'necessity is the mother of all invention'. In other words when there is a will there is a way wether it be legal or not. Too much focus on the tools abused by criminals. The question is is why/how re they doing it in the first place.

I don't know how much it will help because the US gun makers are reaping huge profits with all the guns going to Mexico. Ironically, Mexico has some of the strictest gun controls in the world. Mexico City only has one authorized gun retailer. But the huge demand by cartels and others work wonders for US gun makers. Always follow the money, be it criminal entities (cartels) or legal ones (US gun makers).

Yes, I know the weapons go to and from. I don't know why more funding wouldn't help. We do have a small weapons smuggling task force but it's a massive border, so we need a massive task force. As it is, some fiscal years, the existing task force doesn't get any funding at all. (last I checked)
