Had a good laugh today

Was watching protesters gather at the post office to protest in favor of mail in voting. Suddenly it struck me that the reason giving for mail in voting is so you don't have to gather in a crowd.
Let that sink in for a moment... We're going to gather together in a crowd to protest why you can't gather together in a crowd to vote. It kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it?
Also, I see that the "expert virologist" has said, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to vote in person.

As researchers learn more about SARS-COV2, one difference that has stood out consistently is the difference between indoor gatherings and outdoor gatherings.

Even if you wear a mask, indoor gatherings have been shown to be much more infectious than outdoor gatherings. They believe it's a combination of easier social distancing and better circulation that dissipates the viral aerosols and micro-particles of infected (whether asymptomatic or not) individuals.

Experts were worried that the George Floyd protests would cause a rise in cases nationwide. So far not a single case has been traced to any outdoor gatherings.

I really like the idea of voting by mail. Maybe some may like to stand in line for hours, there's no account for people's fetishes; but I don't. Is voting by mail totally fool proof? No, but neither is any other way of voting. I live in a state well known for "pay to play" politics. If there's a will, then there's a way.
