Handmade items passed down through the years. A favorite of mine.

I wasn't sure if this was the correct place to post this, it's one of my most treasured mementos. A dress and bonnet my mother sewed by hand for my baptism in 1961. I wish the photo showed better detail. The hand stitching is so precise and there are such pretty details. My grandmother, her mother, was also talented with sewing and mainly made quilts. I still have a baby quilt she made for me, with embroidered designs on each square.

Are there any crafts, quilts, etc., handed down to you from family members? I'd enjoy seeing them.

I have a few doilies laying around. I'm not sure who made them, but I remember seeing them as a kid at my grandmother's house. In fact, I have 2 really pretty ones I purchased from the church baazar a few years ago
that I have on the arms of one of my chairs. They match perfectly.

I have a few blankets that my mom knit by hand, that are my most treasured possessions.
I also have 1 crewel wall hanging that she stitched which also helps to make my little apartment into a home.
